28, 29, 30th October :
Nothing seemed to be going our way at all.
First Sunny got conjuctivities, then Sunil and finally me too! On top of that one of my relatives had come to meet me in the hotel for like 10 minutes, and even he got it...
on 28th, we got the Fireblade and the Comet sorted out, on 29th we rode with the Bangalore guys
to Nandi hills (acutally only me and Ashish as Sunny and Sunil were down with Conjunctivitis)
I will pick up the text posted by me on xbhp about the ride to Nandi Hills
"this is my 2nd visit to Bangalore, first being in jan for the crusty demons show. i did see the bikin enthu that time, with so many members turnin up n all and i knew today wud be no different.
Sunny was down with conjunctivitis and hence Ashish (gasolinejunkie), sunil and me were supposed to go but wen we got up in the morning, we noticed Sunil too had caught conjuctivitis from Sunny!
Venu reached our hotel to take us to the meeting point. Ashish on the comet and me on the Jupiter, we reached the meeting point a bit late but everyone had still not arrived. saw some familiar faces and started the ride to Nandi Hills. once outta the city, the highway opened up and everyone pushed their machines but me being on a CVT machine managed just 116!
The ride was fast as well as scenic and before the climb started, we stopped for a small photoshoot. we could see the clouds kissin the ghats in the background and within minutes, we were riding in the clouds! made me miss the himalayas
It was cold and there was a slight drizzle too, which made me keep the cam inside the scoot. i wonder why 2-wheelers arent allowed all the way up! the top of the hill had a small mandir and a couple of eating places but the real charm was in the virgin surroundings and absence of tourist.
after some snacks, we all rode back, not before waitin for close to half hour for all the guys to come back to the parking lot. i, in the meantime, took some pics with the jupiter and the fog.
the ride back was followed by drag sessions at ITC (correct me if im wrong) and it was a joy pullin the V-twin!!!!! just for kicks, i dragged with the zmas and the pumped up fieros on the Comet too and then Jupiter Vs the discover
my eye had started to pain and irritate and i knew i too had conjuctivitis now!!! damm.. rushed back to the hotel with the help of the discover guy (sowwie, 4got ur name)
it was a great morning ride and the number of riders too was amazing. there are a lotta serious hardcore bikers in the blore xbhp gang and its great to see the pure love some guys have for biking and extracting every possible % of power from their machines.
i really wanna thank so many guys here, incl joel, venu, shreyans, the discover guy among others who have helped the GIR team in everyway while we have been here
from gettin the back-up vehicle serviced to takin us to the eye clinics to everything, blore ppl have been amazing"
We had to originally leave on the 30th but left on the 31st for Ooty.
Sunny, Sunil and me went together to the eye clinic for seeing doctor - what a sight it was. three youngsters, same tee, sitting together, same eye infection!
Venu in the meantime tried his level best to fix the Jupiter's read brakes but it didnt happen (lack of time)
The pics will be up soon - runnin short on time..
